Palestinian Refugee Family Tragically Identified After Drowning Incident in UK Waters

A family of three who tragically lost their lives after getting into difficulty in the sea in the UK this week have been identified as Palestinian refugees.

The Palestinian embassy in London confirmed the father as Hossam Al Khawas, stating that he passed away alongside a woman and a teenage girl who were related to him. Local media reports have identified them as his wife Zeina Alyan and daughter Sarah.

Meanwhile, their younger daughter, Saja, was successfully rescued from the water and remains hospitalized in a critical condition, according to reports. The Palestinian embassy also noted that Mr Al Khawas was originally a refugee hailing from the Rashidieh Camp in Lebanon.
