Egypt has issued a strong call for an immediate cessation of all attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that such actions are unjustifiable and intolerable. During a phone conversation on Tuesday with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty urged for de-escalation and the containment of regional tensions, citing their detrimental impact on the region's security and stability.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Abdelatty underscored Egypt's complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia in the face of assaults on its security and stability. He revealed that Egypt is seriously considering joining the “Mecca Joint Defense Agreement,” stating that Saudi national security is an intrinsic part of Egyptian and Arab national security. Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's readiness to provide all forms of support and respond to any requests from the Saudi side, including military assistance.

Houthi Warnings: Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree issued a warning of a severe and painful response in Riyadh if Sanaa were to be targeted. This warning followed closely after the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced its intention to issue a notice for civilians to evacuate a site in Sanaa in preparation for a precision operation. This development also came after the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen requested civilians evacuate the Yemen Oil Company site—specifically the al-Sabaha Central Station—in Sanaa, for their safety.

On the ground, ongoing fighting persists in Yemen between government forces and the Houthis. Concurrently, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen has been intercepting Houthi attacks directed at Saudi Arabia. The Yemeni Armed Forces reported that their warplanes conducted nine airstrikes targeting Houthi elements in the Taiz Governorate, located in the southern part of the country.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump condemned the Houthis, describing their conduct as unacceptable. Conversely, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a member of the Houthi group’s political bureau, vowed a swift and painful response from the United States should it intervene in the conflict between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, warning of a full-scale escalation.
