Nissan Patrol Celebrates 75 Years with Exclusive GCC Limited Edition

Nissan is commemorating the 75th anniversary of its iconic Patrol SUV with a special limited-edition model, initially producing 1,951 units exclusively for the GCC region. This number pays homage to the Patrol's debut in 1951. The anniversary edition, based on the top-tier Platinum V6 Twin Turbo grade, boasts distinctive copper-gold exterior accents and unique anniversary detailing. AWR Automotive, Nissan's authorized dealer in Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates, unveiled the model on Thursday, with a price tag of Dh439,900 ($119,780) inclusive of VAT.

The special edition, crafted solely for the GCC market, signifies 75 years since the Patrol's inception in 1951. Nissan states that its bespoke copper-gold finish is inspired by the desert landscapes. This distinctive treatment is applied to the grille bars, fog lamp surrounds, fender vents, shoulder line, and emblems, complemented by dark chrome finishes and black alloy wheels. Anniversary signatures are prominently featured on the front grille, shoulder-line graphic, and rear emblem. An illuminated carpet light projects a "Patrol Since 1951" graphic along with a sand-dune motif.

Nissan offers five exterior color options for the Gulf edition, while AWR Automotive has confirmed four choices for its customers in the UAE: grey, white, black, and a two-tone white with a black roof. The interior features copper-gold detailing on the steering wheel and ambient lighting, alongside dark chrome trim. Further anniversary touches include detailing on the passenger-side dashboard, seat headrests, and floor and luggage mats. Additional enhancements comprise illuminated anniversary kick plates and a leather key fob case.

Thierry Sabbagh, Nissan and Infiniti’s Divisional Vice President and President for the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, India, and CIS, commented, "To mark 75 years of the Patrol, we wanted to deliver something lasting for our customers, a special product that serves as a memorable token of our shared history."

Under the hood, the anniversary edition retains the powerful 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine from the Platinum V6 Twin Turbo, delivering 425hp and 700Nm of torque. This is coupled with a nine-speed automatic transmission and an adaptive air suspension system featuring Intelligent Dynamic Damping. The cabin is equipped with a 28.6-inch Monolith display, a Klipsch audio system, and quilted leather seats offering heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The model also includes Biometric Cooling, ProPILOT driver assistance, and advanced visibility systems. In the UAE and Saudi Arabia, NissanConnect 2.0 with Google built-in provides integrated navigation, voice assistant capabilities, and connected car services.

The anniversary edition expands the regional Patrol lineup, which already includes the Platinum, PRO-4X, and Nismo variants. AWR Automotive has announced that the model is available at its Nissan showrooms in Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates, and can also be viewed at its City Walk location in Dubai.
