Sharjah-based Arada Group is advancing its Australian expansion with a Dh5 billion ($1.36 billion) residential project in Queensland. Scheduled to be built by Arada’s construction unit, Roberts, the twin-tower development in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast will feature nearly 1,000 homes ranging from one to three bedrooms across two towers linked by a landscaped podium.
The development will offer residents various amenities, including a gym, a pool, a sauna, a steam room, a library, a lounge, work-from-home spaces, and 1,200 square metres of retail units. The project aims for completion ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which are anticipated to boost demand for residential real estate throughout South-east Queensland.
“The announcement reflects Arada’s confidence in the Gold Coast and the broader South-east Queensland market,” the developer stated, highlighting the region's population growth driven by interstate migration and major infrastructure investment. Arada operates as a joint venture between KBW Investments—controlled by Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed—and Sharjah-based Basma Group.
Since entering Australia in 2024, Arada has built a pipeline of eight projects encompassing more than 5,000 homes. Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, group chief executive of Arada, noted that this marks the company's first development outside New South Wales as it continues to target key urban markets.
Globally, Arada holds projects valued at Dh130 billion with a portfolio exceeding 55,000 homes across the UAE, the UK, and Australia. The company's recent ventures include a 172-apartment residential project in London following the acquisition of Regal, now renamed Arada London, alongside new initiatives in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, and the healthcare sector with the acquisition of a majority stake in Abu Dhabi's Reem Hospital.
