The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has issued its latest weather forecast for Cairo and various governorates, predicting a temperature increase of up to two degrees beginning Friday. Citizens will experience a moderately hot and humid morning breeze, which will quickly transition into extremely hot and humid conditions across the entire nation during daylight hours. Meanwhile, coastal areas will maintain hot and humid weather, while nighttime temperatures are expected to remain moderately warm in most regions.
Intermittent winds from Friday through Sunday will provide occasional relief, especially during the evening hours. Authorities have also issued a morning fog and high humidity alert. Motorists driving between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM are urged to exercise extreme caution due to heavy morning fog expected on major highways connecting Greater Cairo, the Delta region, and the northern coast.
Peak nighttime humidity levels will reach 90 to 95 percent along the Northern Coast, 80 to 85 percent in Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta, 60 to 66 percent in Northern Upper Egypt, and 30 to 35 percent in Southern Upper Egypt.
Expected high temperatures include 36°C in Greater Cairo, 32°C along the Northwestern Coast, 37°C in Northern Upper Egypt, and 41°C in Southern Upper Egypt.
