The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has issued a forecast for Wednesday, predicting slightly hot to hot daytime temperatures across the northern parts of the country, including Greater Cairo, with southern regions remaining hot. A significant warning has been issued for Nuweiba in South Sinai Governorate, which is identified as being at risk of flash floods. Citizens are strongly advised to avoid natural flood channels for their safety.

There is a 30 percent probability of light to moderate rainfall expected in several areas, including the northwestern coastal governorates, northern Lower Egypt, the Gulf of Aqaba, central Sinai, and parts of the southern Red Sea Governorate. Intermittent rainfall may intensify, potentially becoming heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms (with a 20 percent probability), particularly in the Halayeb, Shalateen, and Ras Banas regions.

Weather charts also indicate a slight chance (approximately 20 percent) of light rain across parts of southern Lower Egypt and the Suez Canal cities. This rainfall might occasionally extend to areas within Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.

Satellite imagery has detected intermittent wind activity, with speeds ranging from 30 to 40 km/h. These winds are expected to stir up sand and dust in areas such as the northwestern coast, the Western Desert, and exposed regions within Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the Suez Canal cities, and northern Upper Egypt.

The EMA further warned that thunderstorms, with an approximately 40 percent chance of occurrence, could be accompanied by lightning in some locations and strong winds generated by downdrafts from thunderclouds. The authority urges the public to take necessary precautions and remain informed by following the latest bulletins from the EMA.
