Cairo's streets are soon to be patrolled by an automated traffic officer, marking a significant step in modernizing the city's traffic management system. Traffic expert Ahmed Hisham confirmed that this advanced system, already operational in the New Administrative Capital and along key routes to New Alamein City, aims to leverage technology for detecting traffic violations more effectively.

During a phone interview with TeN TV channel, Hisham elaborated on the automated officer's capabilities, noting its advanced technology allows it to identify violations that might elude traditional radar or surveillance cameras. The system will deploy modern devices for real-time detection of speeding and other traffic offenses, with the primary goal of enhancing road safety and reducing accidents.

This initiative is part of a broader state effort to upgrade the road network and implement new technological tools for monitoring traffic flow and ensuring adherence to traffic rules, ultimately safeguarding citizens. Hisham also pointed to the introduction of a "single-window" system for traffic services, which simplifies the process of issuing and renewing licenses and resolving traffic-related issues, thereby saving time and effort for the public. This aligns with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's directives for modernizing the traffic system.
