For the third consecutive month, Hurghada has posted full occupancy signs as local hotels and resorts approach 100 percent capacity, driven by high demand throughout the summer season. Accommodation rates at numerous luxury establishments have climbed to record highs, prompting calls to expand hotel capacity to match the steady growth in both domestic and international visitors.

The sustained high occupancy rates reflect a long-lasting seasonal peak supported by several key elements. These include early foreign reservations coordinated by tour operators, a notable surge in domestic travelers choosing Hurghada for their summer getaways, and the return of Egyptian expatriates visiting their families.

Mohamed Ali, manager of a tourist village, noted that ongoing market indicators point to robust demand for Hurghada, with sea-view rooms in all-inclusive resorts proving especially popular. He explained that early European bookings made months in advance by tour operators, combined with a recent wave of domestic reservations, have created intense pressure on room availability, particularly at luxury resorts and top-tier hotels. Key international visitors continue to arrive from Germany, Russia, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Britain, and Eastern Europe, supported by a strong resurgence in the Russian market.

Hamada Mahmoud, a hotel management director at a major tourism company, described the current period as one of the most successful seasons Hurghada has experienced in recent years. He emphasized that the consistent rise in occupancy is supported by a diverse mix of inbound tourism markets. According to Mahmoud, this tourism boom stems from continuous infrastructure improvements, including upgrades to roads and airports, alongside an enhanced global perception of Egypt as a premier travel destination.
