Private parking operator Parkonic has announced a major expansion of its paid parking services throughout the designated street parking areas in Dubai Silicon Oasis. Having operated in the community since early this year, the latest rollout officially took effect on Thursday, August 21.

According to the operator, the district is divided into two distinct parking zones: P107, which operates as a paid car park 24 hours a day, and P112, where parking fees apply between 8am and 10pm, remaining free from 10pm to 7:59am. Hourly rates vary depending on the time of day, starting at Dh4 per hour until 4pm, before increasing to Dh6 per hour between 4pm and 8pm. In zone P107, rates revert to Dh4 per hour from 8pm until midnight, while zone P112 charges Dh4 per hour from 8pm until 1am. Parking remains free on Sundays and public holidays, and motorists can confirm applicable hours by checking the zone codes displayed on local signage.

To enhance convenience, Parkonic highlighted that its app integration with Salik provides drivers with an alternative payment method across the extended network. This follows other recent deployments by Parkonic, including the introduction of paid parking at Wafi Mall, Discovery Gardens, and the smart parking system implemented at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi.

Addressing the broader urban landscape, Mohamed Al Ali, chief executive of Parkin, recently noted that motorists across Dubai should anticipate further extensions of paid parking as the city continues to develop. Parkin currently manages 268,300 paid parking spaces across Dubai, reflecting a significant year-on-year increase driven by ongoing urban expansion and evolving mobility needs.
