Five separate convoys carrying 800 tonnes of vital aid sent from the UAE successfully entered Gaza this week.

The critical relief supplies, which included essential food, medicine, and materials for shelter, were transported across 75 lorries as part of the Emirates' ongoing Operation Gallant Knight 3 campaign.

According to state news agency Wam on Sunday, these supplies were dispatched specifically to meet the "essential needs and strengthen the humanitarian response inside the Gaza Strip".

Wam further detailed that the campaign continues "to prepare aid convoys through the UAE humanitarian aid logistics centre in Al Arish under an integrated system that includes receiving, sorting, preparing and dispatching assistance, supporting the continued flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza and ensuring it reaches those in need".

The continuous aid deliveries are designed to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and support their urgent humanitarian needs, reaffirming the UAE's steadfast relief efforts.

Since the launch of Operation Gallant Knight 3 in response to the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023, the UAE has maintained its position at the forefront of aid delivery.

Earlier this month, the initiative surpassed 1,000 days of continuous support, delivering more than Dh14.2 billion ($3.89 billion) in total aid.

This significant funding has successfully established a floating hospital in Egypt and two medical centres in Gaza, while also bringing thousands of medical patients—including individuals suffering from cancer and war-related injuries—to the Emirates for specialized care.

Furthermore, the UAE's Step of Hope programme, which was established in June to assist civilians who lost limbs during the conflict, has provided prosthetic limbs to 72 Palestinian amputees.
