US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has announced that Washington is implementing new sanctions against Tehran to cut off all financial backing for the regime. He noted that President Donald Trump is strongly encouraging US allies to back these economic measures.
In response to the announcement, Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani stated that the country's president and leadership are fully prepared to guide the nation through the ongoing economic hardships.
