Abu Dhabi's landmark Zayed National Museum is set to honor the vital contributions of Emirati women to the UAE's development with an engaging three-day weekend program. Beginning Friday, the Saadiyat Island cultural destination will host 'Weekends at Zayed National Museum: Emirati Women’s Day', featuring interactive workshops, artisan demonstrations, guided tours, and live performances by talented Emirati artists.

Visitors can participate in diverse activities, including the 'Between the Past and Present' workshop, which introduces traditional Talli and Khous handicrafts. Additionally, a 'Mix and Make' session led by chef Abeer Allouz will teach participants how to prepare date-based treats celebrating local flavors and highlighting the cultural importance of the fruit. Guests can also craft personalized perfumes using a blend of Emirati and international scents, complemented by custom bottle labels, alongside daily live musical performances.

Observed annually on August 28, Emirati Women's Day highlights the remarkable achievements of women and their essential role in the nation's growth. Established in 2015 by Sheikha Fatima, Mother of the Nation, this year's month-long statewide initiative operates under the theme 'We Emerge Stronger and Better', celebrating the ongoing success stories and future contributions of Emirati women.
