Parkonic Offers Free Parking Across UAE Locations for Prophet Mohammed's Birthday Holiday

Private parking operator Parkonic has announced complimentary parking across various areas in the UAE during the public holiday observing the Prophet Mohammed's birthday.

The Roads and Transport Authority announced on Wednesday that fees will be waived for all public parking spaces in Dubai on Friday, excluding multistorey car parks. Parkonic stated on Thursday that parking will be free in zones it manages in Abu Dhabi, including Shams Boutik, Al Wahda Mall, and Dalma Mall, alongside locations in Dubai such as SME Business Village and Lulu Silicon Central Mall.

Additionally, Parkonic will offer free parking on Friday in Dubai's Tilal Al Ghaf area and Dubai Silicon Oasis. Lulu supermarkets located in Sharjah's Muweilah, Buhaira, and Bu Tina neighborhoods will also feature free parking.

Public holiday parking arrangements may vary at other locations managed by Parkonic, as tariffs, complimentary periods, and holiday schedules are not determined exclusively by the company. The Prophet Mohammed’s birthday was observed on Tuesday, while the official public holiday for both public and private sector employees is scheduled for Friday, creating a three-day weekend.

Meanwhile, individuals planning to travel by bus from Dubai to Abu Dhabi are advised to utilize the E101 service originating from Ibn Battuta station, as the E100 service from Al Ghubaiba station to the capital will remain suspended from now until Sunday. Commuters are encouraged to consult the S'hail app for updated bus timetables.
