Tragic Multi-Vehicle Crash in Northern Oman Leaves Six Dead and 18 Injured

A devastating multi-vehicle road crash in northern Oman on Friday night resulted in the deaths of six people and left 18 others injured, according to confirmation from the authorities. The Royal Oman Police reported that eight of the injured victims are currently in critical condition following the accident, which occurred in the Al Mahal area of Samail, located approximately 50km away from Muscat.

In an official statement released on Saturday, the force extended its condolences to the families of the victims. Authorities stated that an investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the collision, which is believed to have involved a truck along with several other vehicles. Police have not yet released any further details regarding the incident.

Samail is recognized as a picturesque location within the Al Dakhiliyah province of Oman, characterized by its wide valley and surrounding rugged mountains. The area is home to an estimated population of 40,000 residents distributed across numerous towns and villages.
