Polish Authorities Investigate Alleged Assassination Plot Targeting Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz

Polish police are actively investigating an alleged plot to assassinate Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, following alerts received by authorities.

Karolina Galecka, a spokesperson, stated on social media that the Interior Ministry directed immediate action regarding the threat. Key officials from the police, state protection service, and ministry gathered for an emergency meeting on Sunday to address the situation.

While specific details regarding the origin of the plot remain undisclosed, special services spokesperson Jacek Dobrzynski confirmed that authorities are treating the intelligence with utmost seriousness. According to Radio Zet, the initial threat was received via an email.

Both Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, who also serves as the deputy prime minister, have not yet issued public comments on the matter.
