Dr Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to President Sheikh Mohamed, reaffirmed the UAE's unwavering support for the Palestinian people following a massive turnout of thousands in Dubai to celebrate enduring bonds. Speaking about the Emirates Loves Palestine community event, Dr Gargash emphasized that the extraordinary attendance highlighted deep-rooted connections of brotherhood and solidarity. The senior diplomat assured that the UAE would remain a welcoming home for Palestinians, ensuring they are provided with security and stability.
“The UAE's position: Renewed commitment and ongoing support,” Dr Gargash shared on X on Sunday. He attended the gathering alongside approximately 50,000 members of the Palestinian, Emirati, and diverse expatriate communities at Expo City Dubai on Saturday, marking part of the 'Emirates Loves' series designed to honor the heritage and contributions of resident populations in the UAE.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, also participated in what he characterized as the largest gathering of the Palestinian community globally. Expressing the nation's sentiment, he noted that the event conveyed a unified message of pure support and affection. Meanwhile, Abeer Al Ramahi, ambassador of Palestine to the UAE, shared her pride in celebrating shared heritage and culture, describing the occasion as a mutual expression of gratitude between the Palestinian people and the Emirates.
To mirror the festivities in Dubai, a parallel Palestine Loves the UAE event took place in the Gaza Strip, organized with assistance from the UAE's Operation Gallant Knight 3. The gathering celebrated humanitarian connections and Palestinian culture, featuring a live broadcast connecting attendees at the Dubai Exhibition Centre with individuals in Gaza to showcase the close ties between the two populations.
Demonstrating ongoing humanitarian efforts, the UAE recently delivered an additional 903 tonnes of aid to the Gaza Strip via five humanitarian convoys transported on 74 lorries. The relief package contained essential supplies such as food, education materials, and shelter items. Between 2023 and 2025, the UAE has maintained its position as the largest single donor to Gaza during wartime, contributing approximately $3 billion through land, air, and sea operations, establishing field and floating hospitals, and welcoming wounded and sick Gazans for specialized medical treatment.
