Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly reaffirmed on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, the strong commitment of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the establishment of the Fujairah Alamein Oil and Gas Company, highlighting it as a promising strategic initiative following the recent signing of its agreement.
During a meeting at the government headquarters in the New Capital with Director of the Fujairah Amiri Diwan Mohammed Saeed al Dhanhani, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly discussed the necessary procedures and steps to implement the project. The meeting was also attended by Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Karim Badawi.
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly emphasized the importance of accelerating joint efforts to establish a special free zone named "Fujairah Alamein Oil and Gas Company" in New Alamein City. The company will focus on the storage and trading of petroleum products and crude oil, further strengthening the strategic partnership between Egypt and the UAE.
Director of the Fujairah Amiri Diwan Mohammed Saeed al Dhanhani expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources for their continuous support, conveying the keenness of Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi to deepen cooperation.
Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Karim Badawi highlighted that joint teams from Egypt and the UAE are working in continuous coordination to ensure the success of the initiative, which aims to develop Al-Hamra Petroleum Port and reinforce Egypt's position as a regional energy hub.
