The U.S. Embassy in Doha issued an updated security alert warning citizens of potential 'unforeseen escalation' following renewed U.S. military strikes on targets in Iran.

According to U.S. Central Command [CENTCOM], the operation began at noon ET, coinciding with 7 pm Doha time on Tuesday. Americans currently in the Middle East have been advised to exercise heightened vigilance regarding potential flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions.

The U.S. State Department echoed these warnings across the region. The actions followed U.S. strikes on IRGC targets in retaliation for attempted attacks against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and American service members deployed in the region.

Iran’s state broadcaster, IRIB, reported several explosions east of Bandar Abbas, as well as at the ports of Chabahar, Konarak, and Qeshm from the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed the operations on Truth Social, describing the strikes as large and powerful while warning of heavier responses if Iran retaliates.

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, and the spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps [IRGC] have vowed to respond to the new U.S. attacks.
