Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor Sci-Fi Thriller 'The End of Oak Street' Premieres in Egypt

The sci-fi prehistoric thriller “The End of Oak Street” has officially premiered in Egyptian cinemas, delivering a unique cinematic experience that blends science fiction, adventure, and mystery.

Starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, the film follows an extraordinary event that completely disrupts a family's life when an entire residential neighborhood is suddenly transported to an unknown world inhabited by dinosaurs.

Written and directed by David Robert Mitchell—known for his work on “It Follows”—the movie sets a prehistoric backdrop against modern elements. It captures a tone reminiscent of 1970s and 80s family adventure and sci-fi films, infused with a contemporary twist.

While dinosaurs play a major role in the plot, the narrative also focuses deeply on family dynamics, relationships, and how extreme circumstances test human resilience in an unfamiliar environment.

The film's visual design stands out as characters transition from a familiar suburb to a perilous prehistoric landscape. At the same time, a lingering sense of mystery drives the plot forward, leaving the protagonists to question the nature of this strange new world and whether they will ever find a way back home.
