Qatar Condemns Renewed Iranian Attacks on Kuwait and Demands Immediate De-escalation

Qatar has issued a strong condemnation against renewed Iranian attacks directed at Kuwait, warning that such actions pose a severe threat to regional stability and undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts to contain rising tensions.

The condemnation followed an announcement by Kuwait’s military on Thursday confirming that its air defences were actively intercepting an incoming Iranian missile and drone attack amid a sharp escalation in hostilities between Tehran and Washington.

In an official statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs characterized the continuation of these attacks as a dangerous escalation that complicates efforts to restore regional security and stability, holding Iran fully responsible for the repercussions.

Qatar reiterated its complete solidarity with Kuwait and backed all legitimate measures taken by its Gulf neighbour to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity, while urging an immediate halt to military actions and a return to dialogue.
