Dubai Police Urge Public Vigilance After Reuniting Lost Six-Year-Old Girl With Family in 30 Minutes

Dubai Police have issued an urgent safety plea to the public following the rapid rescue of a six-year-old girl who was successfully reunited with her family less than 30 minutes after being reported missing.

Officers stationed at Naif Police Station acted decisively upon receiving the emergency alert, immediately deploying a search party and distributing the child's photograph to all active patrols. The young girl, who had become separated from her father in the Frij Al Murar area of the Naif district, was quickly discovered by officers walking alone on a nearby street.

Authorities reported that the girl was visibly distressed, crying, and extremely frightened when she was found. She was safely transported to Naif Police Station, where the Victim Communication Section offered her comfort and care while police awaited the arrival of her father.

The successful rescue has prompted law enforcement officials to urge parents and guardians to maintain close supervision over young children at all times. Police also emphasized the importance of educating children on how to respond and identifying who to approach if they ever get lost.

Detailing the circumstances of the incident, Brig Omar Mousa Ashour, Director of Naif Police Station, explained that the father had taken his daughter to a grocery store located near their home. Upon finishing his shopping, he turned around to find that she was no longer by his side. Assuming she had walked back to their residential building, he returned home only to find she was not with her mother. After an unsuccessful search of the immediate neighborhood, he contacted Dubai Police for assistance. Authorities did not disclose the exact date or time of the incident.

In light of the event, Dubai Police reiterated the importance of teaching children safety protocols if they are separated from their families in public spaces or crowded areas. Children should be instructed to seek out police officers or security personnel for immediate assistance.
