EgyptAir has officially launched direct flights connecting Cairo to Zanzibar, Tanzania, marking another step in the Egyptian flag carrier's ongoing expansion across the African continent.

The airline operates two weekly flights, scheduled for Fridays and Sundays, utilizing Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. According to EgyptAir Airlines Chairman Mohamed Alyan, the inaugural flight achieved a strong performance with a load factor exceeding 90%. To celebrate the launch, the airline has also introduced special promotional fares for both economy and business class passengers.

EgyptAir Holding Company Chairman Ahmed Adel noted that this new service aligns with broader strategic plans to incorporate additional destinations throughout Africa, thereby offering travelers a wider range of routing choices. By establishing a direct link between Cairo and Zanzibar—one of East Africa's premier tourist hotspots—the new route is anticipated to significantly bolster bilateral travel and tourism between Egypt and Tanzania.

Tickets for the Cairo-Zanzibar route can now be purchased directly through EgyptAir’s official website, company offices, and authorized travel agencies.
