Drivers parking on the streets of Jumeirah Village Circle, District 16, in Dubai will soon need to pay for their spaces starting October 15, as announced by private parking company Parkonic.

Under the new pricing structure, standard rates are set at Dh4 per hour from 8am to 5pm, and increase to Dh6 per hour between 5pm and midnight. Parking remains free overnight from midnight to 8am, with these fees applying every single day, including weekends and public holidays.

To assist locals, Parkonic has introduced membership options for Zone P117 residents, enabling qualifying tenants to avoid hourly charges based on specific membership rules.

Parking Membership Pricing

  • Monthly membership: Dh672
  • Quarterly membership: Dh1,999
  • Six-month package: Dh3,999
  • Annual membership: Dh4,999

Residents are required to complete both registration and activation prior to utilizing the facility; otherwise, standard hourly rates will be enforced.

Payment Methods

Motorists who do not hold a membership have the option to pay via text message by following the instructions posted on-site. Should payment via SMS not be completed, the fee will be automatically debited from the vehicle's Salik account upon departure. The operator noted that cash, traditional parking machines, and QR code payments are not supported at this specific location.

How to Register for Parking

Tenants can submit their membership applications utilizing the Parkonic+ app prior to October 13. To secure parking eligibility, applicants must provide their title deed, Ejari, and lease agreement for Parkonic's verification and approval.

Each qualifying property receives two resident parking allocations. While multiple vehicles can be registered, only a maximum of two may actively use the allocations simultaneously. Furthermore, memberships remain valid strictly for the duration of the tenancy period.

Residents must finalize registration and activation, which becomes accessible only after obtaining an authorized PIN via email from Parkonic. Operating as a ticketless system, Parkonic's on-street parking relies on the vehicle's number plate as its official digital parking record.
