A Vietnam Airlines flight bound for Hanoi was forced to return to Munich Airport on Saturday following technical problems encountered during take-off. According to flight-tracking website Flightradar24, the Boeing 787 aircraft circled in the air for more than two hours to burn fuel after an incident involving the runway. Footage captured the jet taking off accompanied by a large cloud of dust trailing behind it.

Vietnam Airlines stated that the flight returned to its departure airport because of a "technical issue," though further details were not provided. Munich Airport reported that upon landing, the plane could not taxi off the runway under its own power and remained stranded. This situation resulted in the temporary closure of the north runway and the rerouting of air traffic.

According to Vietnam Airlines, the flight crew followed all required protocols. "The passengers and cabin crew members are safe," the airline announced, noting that it is actively coordinating with relevant authorities and parties to inspect the aircraft. Additional updates will be released once the inspection results and operational plans become available.
