Egypt Faces Unseasonable September Heatwave as Temperatures Soar Across Regions

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts warm weather on Wednesday along the northern coasts, with hotter conditions expected in central Sinai and a relatively mild atmosphere in Saint Catherine.

Daytime conditions will range from hot to very hot across the Delta down to northern Upper Egypt, becoming very hot in other regions. This marks a continuation of unexpectedly high perceived temperatures for the month of September. Meanwhile, nighttime and early morning hours will bring mild weather across all regions.

Expected temperatures for Wednesday are as follows:

• Matrouh: 27C
• Alexandria: 28C
• Cairo: 38C
• Hurghada: 33C
• Sharm El-Sheikh: 35C
• Luxor and Aswan: 42C
