Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Calls for UAE Government to Achieve Global Excellence

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has called upon his government teams to pursue global excellence as a new period of national priorities begins. During the annual New Government Season Meeting, which gathered senior officials to evaluate past achievements and outline the agenda for 2026-2027 as reported by state news agency Wam on Wednesday, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized his ultimate vision.

"My message to my team has always been the same. I want the UAE government to be the best government in the world," stated Sheikh Mohammed. The gathering took place in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

Highlighting the ongoing initiatives, the meeting noted flexible working hours for UAE government workers for the return to school. Sheikh Mohammed praised the dedication of his teams, recognizing that their past efforts significantly enhanced operational efficiency, expedited national priorities, and improved public services.

Officials were instructed to intensify their work in the upcoming season, foster deeper integration among government entities, and develop agile, forward-looking work models. The meeting evaluated major accomplishments alongside future initiatives covering developmental, social, and economic sectors. Discussions also addressed strategies to improve cross-entity coordination, invest in national talent, and utilize emerging technologies to boost the UAE's competitiveness.

The gathering included Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, alongside various ministers and senior officials. As a key fixture in the UAE's government calendar, the annual meeting establishes the strategic direction for the year ahead, reinforcing the leadership's dedication to results-driven public administration. "We set out on a new season, carrying renewed energy, strong resolve and ambitions that match our country," Sheikh Mohammed concluded.
