If your child is around five years old, Paw Patrol is likely a daily fixture in your household, spanning everything from toys and clothes to school bags and the animated series. This weekend, children across the UAE experienced Adventure Bay firsthand as Paw Patrol Live! Heroes Unite arrived at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.

Anticipation was high by Friday afternoon, turning the drive from Dubai into a classic journey filled with excitement. Spotting the first large Paw Patrol poster on Yas Island triggered enthusiastic cheers in the back seat. Before the show began, children eagerly inspected every Paw Patrol toy at the venue's exterior merchandise stand, where Marshall the Dalmatian ultimately emerged as a favorite purchase. A quick photo opportunity at the booth followed just in time for the 5.30pm performance.

Armed with Paw Patrol paddles, the young audience settled into a nearly full Etihad Arena, with only a few sections at either end sealed off. Ryder and rescue pups Chase, Rocky, Rubble and the rest of the gang received a hero's welcome as they introduced Adventure Bay to the crowd.

The action kicked off when Mayor Humdinger stole Robo-Dog in a bid to be named “Top Hero” of the day. The ensuing rescue mission delivered vibrant music, dancing, and familiar catchphrases that prompted children to leap from their seats or dance happily in the aisles. The high-energy production successfully engaged accompanying adults as well, which proved particularly helpful when young fans wandered off and returned requesting a quick recap of missed plot points. Knowing catchphrases like “Chase is on the case” and “Rubble on the double” certainly came in handy.

After Mayor Humdinger cloned Robo-Dog, declared himself king, and trapped members of the team in a dungeon, Ryder and the pups ultimately restored order. Robo-Dog was rescued, Paw Patrol prevailed, and the audience celebrated alongside them.

The 90-minute production included a well-timed 15-minute interval, which prevented younger viewers from losing interest. Colorful sets, fast-paced songs, and continuous stage activity kept parents entertained without needing to check their phones. The evening culminated with a massive reaction as cameras panned across the crowd, allowing children to dance on the big screen. Confetti rained down on the Etihad Arena, with many children scooping it up from the floor to take home as a memento. The only lingering effect of the excitement was hearing “Chase is on the case” chanted repeatedly on the drive back to Dubai—a small price to pay for a memorable outing. Paw Patrol Live! Heroes Unite concludes its run at Etihad Arena on Sunday.
