Jordan's King Abdullah Arrives in Abu Dhabi for High-Level Talks with UAE President

King Abdullah of Jordan arrived in Abu Dhabi on Sunday for a fraternal visit to the UAE, where he was warmly received by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.

State news agency Wam reported that the Jordanian monarch was welcomed upon his arrival by Sheikh Mohamed, highlighting the robust bilateral ties shared by the two Arab nations. Senior UAE officials were also present at the reception, reflecting the high significance placed on the visit by Abu Dhabi.

Among those on hand to greet King Abdullah were Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon, Adviser to the UAE President, alongside a number of other senior officials.

King Abdullah travelled with a high-level Jordanian delegation, demonstrating the importance Amman attributes to its relations with Abu Dhabi. The accompanying delegation features Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah, Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, and several other senior Jordanian officials.

The visit takes place as the UAE and Jordan continue to uphold close diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties, characterized by regular engagement at the highest levels of government. Historically, meetings between the two leaderships focus on regional stability, trade, investment, and broader matters of mutual interest across the Arab world.
