During a high-level meeting on Tuesday, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud—Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—reached a strong consensus that bilateral relations must serve as a benchmark for the entire Arab world. Both leaders affirmed that the security of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states is intrinsically linked to Egypt’s national security.

Egypt firmly stated its unequivocal rejection of any aggression or threats directed at Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, stability, territorial integrity, or freedom of navigation in international maritime corridors. The discussions highlighted the necessity of greater solidarity amid current circumstances, emphasizing shared interests, objectives, and absolute mutual understanding. The Crown Prince's working visit to Egypt further underscores the deep fraternal bonds and solidarity uniting Egypt, the Kingdom, and all Gulf states.

The two leaders agreed to intensify practical measures to enhance bilateral cooperation, removing obstacles to trade and investment to elevate their partnership to a level matching their historical and strategic ties. Mohamed al-Shennawy, the Spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, noted that the talks also addressed pressing regional challenges, with President Sisi reiterating unwavering support for Saudi Arabia and all Arab nations.

The leaders emphasized joint stances on maintaining the security of maritime navigation in the Straits of Hormuz, Bab al-Mandeb, and the Red Sea. President Sisi voiced support for Saudi security measures and ongoing efforts for a sustainable political solution in Yemen. On the Palestinian cause, both leaders stressed the need for a just settlement based on the two-state solution, international resolutions, the implementation of the US President’s peace plan, increased humanitarian aid delivery to the Gaza Strip, and an end to violations in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem.

Furthermore, President Sisi and the Crown Prince reaffirmed their continued support for the security and stability of Sudan, stressing the preservation of its national institutions and rejecting any equivalence between the Sudanese Armed Forces and illegitimate militias. The leaders concluded by agreeing to maintain direct consultations and coordination on regional developments and bilateral issues in the period ahead.
