The popular theme parks at Dubai Parks and Resorts are officially scheduled to reopen on October 7, following a temporary closure of more than six months that began in March. This major entertainment destination—which brings together Motiongate Dubai, Real Madrid World, Legoland Dubai Resort, and The World of Riverland—is returning with fresh attractions.
As part of the reopening, visitors can explore brand-new experiences at Riverland, including a bowling attraction and Lamborghini Automobili racing simulators.
Fernando Eiroa, chief executive of Dubai Holding Entertainment, expressed excitement about the upcoming season, stating that the destination continues to offer world-class rides, immersive entertainment, family attractions, dining, and staycations for residents and visitors of all ages.
Legoland Dubai first opened in 2016 as the pioneer Legoland park in the Middle East. Featuring six themed lands—Factory, Lego City, Imagination, Kingdoms, Adventure, and Miniland—it utilizes 20 million Lego bricks to recreate famous landmarks from Dubai and across the Middle East across its more than 40 rides and attractions. The broader Legoland Dubai Resort also features the Legoland Water Park with 20 slides and water attractions, alongside the Legoland Hotel.
Motiongate Dubai also debuted in 2016, offering 209 rides and attractions inspired by films and characters from DreamWorks Animation, Columbia Pictures, and Lionsgate. Key themed zones include Columbia Pictures, DreamWorks, and Studio Central, highlighting fan-favorite attractions such as Madagascar Mad Pursuit, Dragon Gliders, and The Hunger Games – Capitol Bullet Train.
The newest addition is Real Madrid World, which opened in April 2024 to replace Bollywood Park. Dedicated to football, the park spans Champions Avenue, Celebration Plaza, and Stars Avenue. It features the region's first wooden roller coaster, the Stars Flyer (billed as the world's tallest swing chair ride at 140 meters high), the Bernabeu Experience, and La Fabrica Training Pitch, along with various dining and retail outlets.
Meanwhile, Riverland integrates dining, games, and attractions throughout the French Village, Boardwalk, Sports Boulevard, and The Peninsula. Beyond the new bowling and Lamborghini simulators, visitors can enjoy go-karting, archery, axe-throwing, mini golf, puzzle attractions, and arcade entertainment.
Accommodations at the destination include the Legoland Hotel, Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Autograph Collection, and T-Rex Glamping. Ticket prices for Motiongate Dubai and Real Madrid World start from Dh295, while entry to The World of Riverland begins at Dh25.
