Mohamed Salah delivered a stellar performance, scoring a hat-trick and providing an assist as Trabzonspor secured a dominant 4-0 home victory against defending champions Galatasaray on Saturday. The result handed the Istanbul giants their first defeat of the Turkish Super Lig campaign.

At 34 years old, Mohamed Salah wasted no time making an impact, opening the scoring just four minutes into the match by driving from midfield for a calm finish. He then turned provider in the 39th minute, setting up Noah Saviolo inside the penalty area. Just before halftime, Mohamed Salah netted his second with a clinical strike following an assist from Franculino Dju, giving Trabzonspor a comfortable three-goal advantage at the break.

Continuing his dominance in the second half, Mohamed Salah completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute after a brilliant run spanning more than half the length of the pitch, finishing with his trademark side-foot shot. The match also saw disciplinary trouble for Galatasaray, as coach Okan Buruk was sent to the stands in the 71st minute and Lesley Ugochukwu received a red card in the 87th.

German coach Thomas Reis recently took charge of Trabzonspor following the departure of Fatih Tekke. Speaking after the match, Reis praised both Mohamed Salah and the collective effort of the squad. “We know Salah's quality and what he is capable of... but today the whole team fought incredibly hard to create those spaces for him,” Reis remarked.

Following this victory, Trabzonspor sits fifth in the table with 10 points from six matches, placing them three points behind league leaders Galatasaray. Mohamed Salah, who joined the Turkish club over the summer after spending nine years at Liverpool, has now tallied seven goals in six league appearances.
