The Spanish Football Federation has officially announced that the 2027 Spanish Super Cup will take place in Turkiye at Istanbul’s Ataturk Olympic Stadium.
Scheduled from February 2 to 7, the Final Four tournament will showcase Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Real Sociedad, according to the federation's statement released on Thursday.
Although Saudi Arabia has hosted the event since 2020, it was excluded this time because the tournament dates conflict with the Asian Cup, which is the continent’s premier men’s international football tournament.
Barcelona currently holds the title of reigning Super Cup champions following their victory against Real Madrid in the 2026 final. The club noted in a statement that the competition is scheduled to return to Saudi Arabia in 2028.
Traditionally, the Spanish Super Cup brings together the winners and runners-up from both La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
