Flight schedules to the UAE experienced lingering delays on Monday morning following significant inbound disruptions on Sunday. According to Dubai International Airport's flight status website, specific flydubai routes faced notable setbacks, including flights from Almaty and Tashkent, which were delayed by 52 minutes and 64 minutes respectively. Another flydubai service originating from Dushanbe was pushed back from 7.50am to 9.07am.
Additional flydubai services traveling to Dubai from locations such as Moscow, Yekaterinburg, and Bishkek were also scheduled to touch down behind schedule. Meanwhile, an Emirates service from London Heathrow was rescheduled from 6.40am to 8.30am. While schedule adjustments remain ongoing, not all of these delays stem from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, as hundreds of flights from Russia have faced disruptions due to the prolonged war with Ukraine.
Travelers heading into the UAE encountered substantial delays on Sunday, resulting in cancellations and more than 40 delayed flights, many exceeding two hours. Conversely, flights at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi operated mostly on schedule by Monday morning, and departures from Dubai International Airport were largely returning to normal. UAE airlines are currently operating near full capacity following earlier service reductions. Passengers flying to and from the UAE are strongly encouraged to verify their flight status with their airline before heading to the airport.
