Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam arrived in Rome on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, to attend the 2026 Euro-Mediterranean Water Forum, which is scheduled from September 29 to October 2. The forum gathers ministers, high-ranking officials, experts, and delegates from international and regional organizations dedicated to water affairs.

Hani Sewilam is set to take part in multiple high-level events, featuring the opening session and a high-level dialogue titled “From the Ministerial Meeting on Water to the UN Water Conference”. He will additionally join a session focused on “Management of Non-Conventional Water Resources,” alongside specialized discussions addressing coastal groundwater, future water management strategies, and the involvement of younger generations in tackling water challenges.
