Medical teams carry the body of a victim following an Israeli strike targeting a vehicle in Tal al-Hawa. At least seven Palestinians have been killed and more than 10 wounded in ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, as military operations continue to violate a nearly year-old ceasefire agreement.

According to witnesses and medical sources, six of the victims lost their lives when an Israeli drone struck a passenger van in Tal al-Hawa, located in southwest Gaza City, on Wednesday. The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that its emergency crews transported 13 injured individuals to al-Quds Hospital, with medical professionals describing their conditions as critical.

Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary, reporting from Gaza City, noted that saving the lives of the wounded remains exceptionally difficult due to a healthcare system severely decimated by years of military attacks and the ongoing blockade.

Earlier, the official Palestinian Wafa news agency reported that an assault on a residential apartment near al-Shifa Hospital resulted in the death of at least one woman. Additional reports from local sources cited by Wafa indicated that four Palestinians, including two children, sustained injuries when a drone hit a shelter for displaced people in southern Gaza. Further incidents included serious injuries to two individuals southeast of Deir el-Balah and tank fire reported in southern Khan Younis.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that over the past 24 hours, the bodies of at least nine people arrived at hospitals. Since the onset of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in October of last year, the death toll has reached at least 1,431, with 5,026 wounded.

Residents continue to face dire conditions, with Khoudary describing widespread fear and a deteriorating humanitarian situation across the territory. According to health officials, Israel's broader military campaign since October 2023 has resulted in at least 74,032 deaths and 175,142 injuries. Furthermore, a United Nations Satellite Centre analysis from August highlights that about 82 percent of structures in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed since the conflict began.
