President Sheikh Mohamed on Monday paid a warm tribute to teachers across the UAE, highlighting their vital role in shaping future generations on the occasion of World Teachers' Day. Emphasizing the lasting impact educators have on pupils, the UAE President shared a nostalgic picture of himself as a young learner alongside a heartfelt thank-you note from 1971 to illustrate the enduring influence of teachers.
The historical note, penned when the UAE President was just 10 years old, reads: "I dedicate my picture to the teacher Ahmad Ibrahim Mandi as a memento with thanks. Signed Mohamed Zayed." More than five decades later, Sheikh Mohamed reiterated his deep appreciation for the profession.
Writing on X, Sheikh Mohammed stated: "On World Teachers' Day, I express my appreciation and gratitude to teachers across the UAE and commend their role in shaping future generations. Let this day be an opportunity for all of us to recognise our teachers and thank them for the lasting impact they have had on our lives."
