Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank have killed at least one person and injured several others in a series of violent incidents across the territory. On Monday, troops opened fire on a vehicle carrying three Palestinians near the town of Bani Naim, east of Hebron. According to the Israeli military, the car had rammed one of its vehicles, leaving one Palestinian dead and two others seriously injured, as confirmed by Palestinian officials.

The incident is part of a sharp rise in violence in the territory leading up to Israeli elections later this month, which reports indicate also involve Israeli efforts to prevent Palestinian politicians and parties from participating. Elsewhere, the military reported another incident involving two Palestinians near Ramallah, while Israeli settlers carried out an attack against Palestinians in the Imriha area southwest of Jenin, resulting in three injuries.

The Palestinian General Authority of Civil Affairs identified the deceased man as 38-year-old Hossam Alaa al-Din Abdul Jabbar Walad Ali, stating that Israeli forces withheld his body. In a post on X, the Israeli army stated that the three individuals were driving suspiciously and attempted a car-ramming attack against soldiers after accelerating into a military vehicle.

In Ramun, near Ramallah, the Israeli military deployed troops following reports of a burning vehicle and two alleged terrorists in the area, one reportedly carrying a knife. The military reported that one of the Palestinians was neutralized by an Israeli civilian, while Palestinian authorities reported that Ahmad Mazen Kahla sustained critical injuries from occupation forces' gunfire.

Additionally, the Palestinian Red Crescent provided medical treatment to three individuals wounded in the settler attack in the Imriha area before transporting them to a hospital. Sources informed the Anadolu news agency that the victims suffered injuries including a broken leg, a hand injury, and severe beatings and pepper-spraying of an elderly man. According to the Palestinian Colonisation and Wall Resistance Commission, 66 Palestinians have been killed in at least 14,742 attacks in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since October 2023, alongside extensive damage to agricultural lands and over 147,000 trees.
