British Nigerian visual storyteller Misan Harriman has earned widespread acclaim for his diverse portfolio, which features striking images from the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests as well as the Palestinian protest movement. Breaking barriers in the media industry, he became the first Black man to photograph a British Vogue cover. Over the course of his career, he has captured numerous prominent figures, such as Angelina Jolie, Lewis Hamilton, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle.
By highlighting the resilience of grassroots activists dedicated to fighting for equality, civil rights, and social justice globally, Harriman's work illuminates international movements and demonstrates the profound impact of collective action in building a fairer society. These themes and his creative journey are explored in the documentary film Shoot the People, directed by Andy Mundy-Castle.
