Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation announced on Sunday that the death toll from the attack targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh has climbed to 12 casualties, alongside 309 injuries.

Authorities noted that the victims belong to various nationalities, while comprehensive assessments of the material damage are still underway.

In a follow-up statement detailing the Saturday afternoon attack, the General Authority of Civil Aviation confirmed that 12 people lost their lives, consisting of four Saudi citizens and eight expatriates.

The deceased include two Bangladeshi residents, one American national, one Egyptian national who worked as a flight attendant, one Jordanian national, one Syrian national, one Palestinian national, and one Sudanese national.

The incident also left 309 individuals injured. According to the statement, these patients are currently receiving medical treatment across various hospitals, with several cases reported to be critical.

Competent authorities are actively monitoring the conditions of the injured and evaluating the extent of the structural and material damage caused by the attack.
