Dr Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed, has emphasized the urgent need for robust Gulf security and unified collective defense, cautioning that aggression directed at any single Gulf nation endangers the entire area.
Sharing his perspective in a post on X, Dr Gargash asserted that the safety and stability of all Gulf states remain entirely interconnected. Highlighting the ongoing hostile acts directed at Gulf Arab states, he noted that such actions stem from a miscalculation viewing the region as vulnerable, which ultimately proves that every member is under threat.
Furthermore, Dr Gargash underscored that hostile actions directed against Saudi Arabia directly compromise the security interests of the UAE and its neighbors. To counter these vulnerabilities, he advocated for revitalized regional cooperation focusing closely on security frameworks and joint defense mechanisms to reinforce the collective security apparatus.
Concluding his remarks, Dr Gargash warned that past deficiencies in regional coordination have emboldened external actors, reiterating that maintaining Gulf security is a shared obligation that brooks no hesitation or oversight.
