Cairo Braces for Cooler Weather as Temperatures Dip 3°C Amidst Forecasted Rain

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has issued a forecast detailing expected weather conditions across Cairo and various Egyptian governorates. Residents in the northern coasts, Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and northern Upper Egypt can anticipate mildly warm daytime temperatures. However, southern Upper Egypt and South Sinai are expected to experience hotter conditions. As night falls, a noticeable cool-down is predicted for most of the country, with temperatures potentially dropping by up to 3°C.

Morning fog is a concern on key roads leading to and from the northern parts of the country, extending down to Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt, according to weather maps. There is a 40 percent probability of scattered rainfall, ranging from moderate to occasionally heavy, across parts of the northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt. Lighter to moderate rain is anticipated over central and southern Lower Egypt, and the Canal cities. This rainfall may extend, with a 20 percent to 30 percent probability, to areas within Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and further south towards Halaib and Shalateen.

Additionally, active winds are expected to blow across parts of the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and South Sinai.
