At least six Palestinians have been killed in Israeli drone attacks across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, according to Palestinian medical and emergency services. These deadly raids persist despite a year-old ceasefire agreement. The attacks targeted northern, central, and southern Gaza, with one of the most recent fatalities reported near the Jabalia refugee camp.
The Palestinian Wafa news agency, citing medical sources, reported that a Palestinian man was killed and several others injured when an Israeli drone struck a group of civilians near the al-Faluja cemetery, west of Jabalia. In Rafah, Wafa also stated that an Israeli drone strike in the al-Mawasi area killed one Palestinian and injured several others.
Earlier in the day, two individuals were killed and others wounded in an attack in the Tuffah neighbourhood of northeast Gaza City, confirmed by staff at al-Shifa Hospital. Witnesses speaking to Al Jazeera indicated that the victims were returning from the burial of a previous attack victim. Al-Shifa Hospital also reported another fatality from a drone attack in eastern Gaza City.
In central Gaza, staff at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported one death and one injury in Deir el-Balah.
The Gaza Health Ministry released an update on Saturday stating that 1,511 Palestinians have been killed and 5,375 injured since the United States-brokered ceasefire was announced on October 10, 2025. In the preceding 48 hours, the ministry recorded six deaths and 43 injuries across the strip. Since the beginning of Israel’s war in October 2023, a total of 74,469 Palestinians have been killed and 175,492 injured.
The ongoing impact on children was highlighted on Friday by UNICEF, the United Nations children’s agency. Spokesman Ricardo Pires informed reporters in Geneva that over 340 children have been killed since the ceasefire began, with seven children dying in attacks over the past two weeks and at least 33 others seriously injured. UNICEF also noted that approximately 800,000 children remain displaced, many sheltering in tents or unsafe buildings as winter approaches.
This violence occurs as Gaza's population faces increasing restrictions on movement and residence. Al Jazeera published mapping on October 12 revealing that Israeli forces control or limit access to about 65 percent of the territory. The report indicated that the “Yellow Line,” initially marking Israeli military positions after a partial withdrawal under the ceasefire, has been advanced further into Palestinian areas. The remaining accessible territory is home to 2.1 million people.
On Friday, Gaza’s Health Ministry issued a warning that over 1.4 million Palestinians are anticipated to experience crisis-level food insecurity or worse for the remainder of the year.
