Saudi Arabia carried out the executions of five of its citizens on Saturday in the Eastern Province, following their conviction on terrorism-related charges. The Ministry of Interior, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency, identified the executed individuals as Mohammed Al Zaher, Ali Al Sheikh, Hassan Al Faraj, Reda Al Abu Abdullah, and Ali Al Rabih.

According to the ministry's statement, the men were found guilty of joining a foreign terrorist organization, engaging in armed attacks against security personnel and vehicles, possessing weapons and ammunition, and providing financial and logistical support for terrorist activities within the Kingdom.

The court sentenced the individuals to death under tazir, a discretionary sentencing under Islamic law applicable to offenses without fixed penalties. These sentences were confirmed by the Supreme Court on appeal, and a royal decree was issued for their implementation. The Ministry of Interior stated that these executions underscore the government's dedication to upholding security, ensuring justice, and enforcing Islamic law against those who pose a threat to public safety.
