Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem highlighted the significant role of the Egypt Forum 2026 in bolstering the industrial sector. The forum aims to address the challenges faced by manufacturers and foster a collaborative dialogue between the government and industry stakeholders to drive growth, attract investment, and support domestic production.

In an interview with Extra News on Friday, October 23, 2026, Minister Hashem emphasized that the timing of the forum underscores the government's dedication to actively listening to manufacturers, removing operational obstacles, and developing practical solutions to industry challenges. He noted that these initiatives are expected to generate more employment opportunities for young people and contribute to Egypt's overall economic development.

The minister also detailed the government's ongoing efforts to streamline industrial licensing procedures and expedite the approval process through clear and efficient mechanisms. He further acknowledged the crucial contribution of universities in providing ideas and proposals at the forum, suggesting their involvement could be instrumental in tackling the industrial sector's challenges in the near future.

Additionally, Hashem announced the implementation of new measures designed to simplify the procedures for factories seeking insurance documents through the Ten-Year Insurance Pool (Al-Mogamaa Al-Ashariya).
