Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem announced that the upcoming Egypt Forum 2026 is poised to significantly bolster the nation's industrial sector. The forum will focus on addressing the critical challenges faced by manufacturers and will foster a vital dialogue between the government and industry stakeholders. The overarching goals are to promote economic growth, attract crucial investment, and provide robust support for domestic production.

In an interview with Extra News on Friday, October 23, 2026, Minister Hashem emphasized that the timing of the forum underscores the government's dedication to actively listening to manufacturers. He stated that the administration is committed to removing operational obstacles and developing concrete solutions to the challenges confronting the sector. These initiatives, he explained, are expected to generate more employment opportunities for young Egyptians and contribute to Egypt's overall economic development.

The minister further highlighted the government's ongoing efforts to streamline industrial licensing procedures and expedite the approval process through the implementation of clear and efficient mechanisms. He also pointed to the significant role universities can play by contributing innovative ideas and proposals at the forum, suggesting their involvement could be instrumental in overcoming future industrial sector challenges.

Minister Hashem also revealed the introduction of new measures designed to simplify the process for factories seeking insurance documents via the Ten-Year Insurance Pool (Al-Mogamaa Al-Ashariya). These measures aim to alleviate the financial and administrative burdens on industrial investors, accelerate project execution, and facilitate the commencement of production.

He reiterated the government's firm commitment to continuously reviewing and simplifying administrative procedures, alongside expanding their digitization. These actions are intended to enhance the business environment and actively encourage industrial investment within Egypt.
