Two convoys carrying a substantial 260 tonnes of food supplies have successfully entered Gaza this week, underscoring the United Arab Emirates' ongoing commitment to humanitarian relief efforts. These convoys, consisting of 10 lorries, were dispatched as part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, the UAE's dedicated initiative to provide essential aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. This latest delivery brings the total number of lorries to have entered Gaza under the operation to 14,594, with a cumulative total of 138,290 tonnes of humanitarian aid transported since the mission's inception. The aid is meticulously assembled and prepared at the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre located in Al Arish, Egypt. An integrated system at this centre manages the entire process, from receiving and sorting to preparing and dispatching the vital supplies, as reported by the state news agency Wam on Sunday. Since the commencement of Operation Gallant Knight 3, the UAE has provided over $4 billion in humanitarian assistance to Gaza, representing a significant 46 per cent of all global humanitarian aid directed to the enclave since 2023. This extensive support has included the delivery of 130,708 tonnes of relief, medical, and food supplies via 796 aircraft, 25 ships, and 14,483 lorries. By leveraging established logistics networks and coordinating closely with Egyptian authorities at the Rafah crossing, the operation ensures that these critical supplies reach those most in need in a structured and efficient manner.
