talabat has officially launched its 'talabat grow' initiative in Qatar, a significant 12-month program designed to empower 180 locally owned small businesses. This collaboration with Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) aims to provide these businesses with crucial support, including subsidized commissions, comprehensive business training, and personalized guidance.

The launch event, attended by local media, restaurant partners, and entrepreneurs, served to introduce the program and highlight its potential to foster restaurant growth throughout Qatar. The 'talabat grow' initiative is an invite-only program focused on onboarding high-potential, locally owned small businesses.

Participants will benefit from intensive, hands-on support in areas such as performance optimization, data-driven decision-making, and the effective utilization of digital tools. Additionally, they will receive commercial support, reduced commission rates, and one-to-one mentorship from talabat’s partner success teams. The program commences with a two-week intensive session, followed by ongoing tailored support over the 12-month period.

QSTP is joining as the technology innovation partner, tasked with connecting participating restaurants with startups from its community. This partnership seeks to explore how innovations developed by QSTP startups can assist restaurants in addressing daily operational challenges, reducing costs, improving efficiency, and ultimately driving growth. Promising innovations may even be piloted with 'talabat grow' restaurants.

Moaiad Aqel, Managing Director of talabat Qatar, stated, "Qatar has a dynamic and ambitious restaurant community, with many local businesses looking for the right support to take their next step. Through talabat grow, we want to work more closely with promising restaurant partners, help them better understand their performance, and give them practical tools that can support smarter, more sustainable growth. Their success ultimately strengthens the wider food ecosystem in Qatar."

Eng. Ahmed Al-Said, Business Development Director at QSTP, added, "Local restaurants are a vital part of Qatar’s economy, and the right technology can make a real difference to how far they go. Through our collaboration with talabat, we hope to bring innovation closer to the F&B sector, helping restaurants find practical ways to work smarter and grow, while giving startups the chance to test their solutions in real businesses. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the sector through technology and innovation."

'talabat grow' underscores talabat’s enduring commitment to Qatar's restaurant community, with QSTP's involvement set to enhance the sector's innovation and growth.
