YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul is slated to make his return to the boxing ring on December 24 in Dubai, marking his first fight in over a year since his knockout defeat to Anthony Joshua. Paul, who holds a professional record of 12-2 with losses also against Tommy Fury, announced his upcoming bout on Christmas Eve. His opponent for the Dubai event has not yet been revealed. This fight will be Paul's first since his sixth-round knockout loss to former heavyweight champion Joshua in Miami on December 19 of last year. During that fight, Paul sustained a fractured jaw in two places, necessitating multiple surgeries in December and February.
"I have spent years proving people wrong, taking risks and pushing myself against opponents nobody thought I would face," Paul stated. "Nothing that’s happened has changed my belief in myself or what I’m working toward. I am hungrier than ever and on December 24 I’m returning to the ring in Dubai to start the next chapter of my journey." He added, "We’ve got plenty of names on the list; let’s see who signs the contract."
Paul's professional record stands at 12 wins and 2 losses, with his only defeats coming against Britain's Tommy Fury and Anthony Joshua. He also participated in an exhibition match against Mike Tyson, which he won by unanimous decision. However, that bout faced criticism and was labeled a sham event.
