Apple has officially recognized the UAE's Coders HQ as an authorized training center, a significant development poised to invigorate the nation's app development sector. This accreditation grants Coders HQ members access to Apple's extensive global resources for specialized training, as announced by the UAE Artificial Intelligence Office on Thursday. These resources include comprehensive training programs, learning materials, and collaboration opportunities with international trainers and institutions for app design, development, and testing. Furthermore, Coders HQ members will gain proficiency in Apple's Swift programming language, the primary tool for creating applications across Apple's operating systems, including iOS.

Abdelrahman Al Mahmoud, a director at the AI office, stated, "The UAE continues to foster an environment where talent can thrive, ideas can be tested and new opportunities for learning and innovation can emerge." He added, "Developing future-ready skills remains central to strengthening our nation's competitiveness and consolidating its position as a global leader in technology and innovation."

Established in 2022 as part of the UAE's initiative to become a global innovation hub, Coders HQ was launched under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai. The initiative is a collaborative effort involving over 40 companies, including Adnoc, Majid Al Futtaim Holding, Microsoft, Meta Platforms, IBM, and Dell Technologies.

Meanwhile, Apple has been actively supporting developers worldwide to build apps for its product ecosystem. According to Apple's 2025 transparency report, the company boasts over 60 million registered developers and more than 2.17 million apps on the App Store. These developers have collectively earned over $550 billion since the App Store's inception in 2008. Apple also promotes coding education through its 'Today at Apple' program in Apple Stores.

"A competitive digital economy begins with people who have the skills to embrace emerging technologies and the ability to translate knowledge into solutions that make a meaningful difference in society," Mr. Al Mahmoud commented.
