Syria Hands Down Death Sentences for Coastal Sectarian Violence

A Syrian military court has sentenced two men to death for sectarian violence along the coast in March 2025. The court also issued prison sentences and acquittals for other defendants, while separately, a key suspect in the 2013 Baniyas massacre was arrested.
